Reclaiming joy in a comparison-obsessed world
Key takeaway: Joy grows when you focus inward, stay true to your path, and fully engage with your life. Appreciate your journey, celebrate small wins, and let contentment flourish. It's when we are able to accept ourself as we are that we're able to free ourselves and those around us to reach our full potential.
New: There a new page on the website featuring podcasts where I’ve been a guest. In these conversations, I share insights on Ayurveda, Vedic sciences, mindfulness, and holistic living. I hope you enjoy listening! Check them out here.
Feel off lately? Maybe you're chasing someone else's story and missing your own.
“Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.”

In the last podcast episode about joy and happiness, we looked at how comparison shapes our experience. It changes our focus, redirects our attention, and moves us away from other areas of importance.
Let’s explore how to return to presence and reconnect with joy.
Comparison often arrives quietly. It might appear as ambition, curiosity, or a moment of self-reflection. Underneath, it can signal a desire to connect, feel seen, or stay aligned with what matters.
Each person moves through life in their own rhythm. We all experience different seasons. One might be building while another is resting. Nature thrives this way, each tree growing on its own timeline.
This perspective helps us notice and honor our own path without needing to match anyone else’s.
Tuning inward shifts everything. When we reconnect with what we value and what inspires us, joy becomes easier to notice.
Gratitude plays a powerful role in this process. It brings us into now, highlights what’s working, and allows us to celebrate life in all its forms. Ours and others'.
